| 内容記述 | The effects of two kinds of erythropoietin (EPO), and the effectiveness and safety of predeposit autologous blood transfusion (PAT) were examined in patients with uterine myoma or endometriosis who underwent simple total hysterectomy. EPO was administered to all the patients 18 cases for enhancement of hemopoietic function by two different methods, subcutaneous injection and intravenous injection, and their effects were compared (t test). Predeposition of 800 ml of blood was performed over 2 weeks and hemoglobin (Hb) and platelet (PLT) values monitored. The presence and absence of side-effects of PAT were also examined. There was no statistical difference between the two types of EPO in their effect on changes in the Hb and PLT values. In the 18 cases, one patient exhibited bleeding of 1,125 ml and reinfusion of the predeposited blood (800 ml) proved to be effective. None of the patients showed side effects during the period from predeposition to reinfusion. There was no difference between the two kinds of EPO for hemopoietic effect. Despite the limited number of patients examined, the present study confirmed the effectiveness and safety of PAT in combination with administration of EPO for operations of benign diseases. |
